The project provides sustainable water supply facilities to rural areas of Nasarawa, Kwara, Oyo, Cross River and Ekiti states. It includes the construction of boreholes, water tanks, and distribution systems. The project also train local communities on how to operate and maintain the water supply facilities.

Project Objectives:

The objectives of this project are to:

•    Provide access to safe and clean water to rural communities in Nasarawa, Kwara, Oyo, Cross River and Ekiti states.

•    Improve the health and well-being of rural communities.

•    Reduce the incidence of waterborne diseases.

•    Empower rural communities by giving them the skills and knowledge to operate and maintain water supply facilities.

Project Beneficiaries:

The beneficiaries of this project are the rural communities in Nasarawa, Kwara, Oyo, Cross River and Ekiti states. The project will provide access to safe and clean water to over 1 million people. The project will also improve the health and well-being of rural communities, and reduce the incidence of waterborne diseases.

Contract Erosion Control and Road Rehabilitation Works at Road 7 Federal Housing Estate, Umuguma, Owerri, Imo State - Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs

Project Summary:

This project undertook erosion control and road rehabilitation works at Road 7 Federal Housing Estate, Umuguma, Owerri, Imo State. The project included construction of drainage channels, installation of gabions, and resurfacing of the road. In addition,plant tree will be planted to help prevent erosion.

Project Objectives:

The objectives of this project are to:

•    Control erosion and prevent flooding at Road 7 Federal Housing Estate, Umuguma, Owerri, Imo State.

•    Improve the safety and accessibility of the road.

•    Increase the lifespan of the road.

•    Improve the aesthetic value of the road.

•    Promote environmental sustainability.

Project Beneficiaries:

The beneficiaries of this project are the residents of Road 7 Federal Housing Estate, Umuguma, Owerri, Imo State. The project will improve the safety and accessibility of the road, and increase the lifespan of the road. The project is also intended to improve the aesthetic value of the road, and promote environmental sustainability.

Project Timeline:

The project was implemented over a period of 6 months. The construction of drainage channels and installation of gabions was completed in the first 3 months. The resurfacing of the road was completed in the second 3 months. The planting of trees followed suit in the in the last month.

Project Impact:

This project will have a significant impact on the lives of the residents of Road 7 Federal Housing Estate, Umuguma, Owerri, Imo State. The project will control erosion and prevent flooding, which will improve the safety and accessibility of the road.
